Covid Secure – and More

As a business, being covid secure is part of the ‘new normal’. So how does this look, here at Static Trader?

As many of our friends and customers know, we’ve been open and on the road throughout the pandemic, in a low-key, very limited staff kind of way, with a real focus on social distance compliance. This has been particularly important as we have helped supply statics as self-isolation accommodation to vulnerable, shielding and self-isolating customers.

We’ve also tried to continue our usual ‘extra mile’ service by sanitising our static caravans for sale and our office space  to protect anyone visiting our premises.

Covid secure means doing more

But to fully revive our ‘business as normal’ means taking into account:

  • Our office teams returning to the work place.
  • An increasing number of customers now visiting to view our used static caravans in stock.
  • Paying attention to what it means to be ‘Covid secure’.

So we’ve made an extra mile of the 2m distancing recommendations and swapped out our previous single unit static caravan office, for a double unit!

This way, one team who are already in a ‘bubble’ have their own office to work together in. Our main ‘group’ of marketing, accounting and sales now have a large office to share. Here, instead of all working on their own sides of a large central desk, everyone now has separate desks, well spaced from each other.

And covid secure for customers

And of course, in organising our Covid secure office and sales space, we’ve been mindful of customers’ needs too. John now has a spacious front-office which allows customers plenty of personal space on arrival.

Sometimes though, customers need to come through to the main office, for instance to discuss delivery and siting details. So Sean has organised a ‘household’ huddle space at the appropriate distance from our team’s desks, to help minimise risk for everyone.

What’s more, all other processes continue and have been stepped up. Antibacterial hand solution is readily available, visitors are encouraged to wear PPE and face-masks as required. Plus, our superb hygiene specialist Adele has initiated an extra rigorous sanitising routine, to ensure touch-surfaces are as safe as possible.
