Static Trader’s Lockdown News
2021 starts in a way that none of us could have imagined! With the government’s most recent lockdown news, we’d like to reassure our customers about what we’re doing to keep going, and to keep our customers safe.
Everything we organised in the Spring lockdown is still very relevant and is very much in place. The original blog on this is here. At the present time …Our sales ground remains open for the management of sales and transportation of our static caravans. This is being managed by staff within the lockdown restrictions. Lockdown does of course limit customers being able to visit our sales ground. However, it’s still possible to buy an offsite static caravan from Static Trader, using virtual viewing opportunities. If you have a static caravan to sell, our buying team can also provide virtual and non-contact appraisals on static caravans.
Virtual viewings
Since March, offsite static caravans for sale have proved to be a popular option for self-isolation and quarantine accommodation, when sited on customers’ own land. Sean and Alex have refined a virtual viewing system which allows customers to view from home, by phone or PC. This comes with the Static Trader ‘customer-first’ assurance that nothing is hidden and we are on hand to help.
Sean and Alex can …Send photos and virtual tour videos of our statics for sale, using What’s App, social media, email and our website.Respond to specific requests and organise extra photos and visuals as needed. For instance, want a close up of the boiler, chassis or layout? Our team will respond to this and show you videos to help answer your questions.Assist our customers who need static caravans for self-isolation and quarantine, but without compromising personal distancing or lockdown requirements.
In all cases, we will be working in our customers interests, guided by government recommendations.
Operational services are ongoing
Our operational services (the transportation and siting of static caravans bought and sold by us) remain up and running currently. The situation is reviewed daily so that we are working in compliance with lockdown news and reviews.
With the four nations of the UK having separate lockdown arrangements, our transport team is working extra hard. All movements require highways documents to be in place, so that we can get our transport vehicles – and the static caravans on them – to the customers who have bought them.
Please bear in mind that, in some cases, this movement has to be carried out in compliance with different sets of guidelines across the UK. So, although we strive to keep disruption to our customers to a minimum, there may be occasions when transportation has to be postponed.
In all cases, we will keep our customers updated and do everything we can to assist.
Keeping us all safe
If you are expecting a delivery and:You are in a high-risk area (designated locally as tier 2 or 3 before the latest lockdown). You have to go into quarantine. You are vulnerable and are additionally shielding or self isolating.
Please do make us aware as soon as possible – and definitely before your static caravan is delivered.
And as before:In order to keep customers and staff safe, our staff operate with a no-touch policy. We have a very friendly delivery team but, in order to minimise risk, they won’t be shaking customers’ hands! We are also sanitising our static caravans before delivery, and regularly sanitise our work areas, to help keep everyone safe.
Please be assured that we will, at all times, be guided by the latest lockdown news and government requirements for businesses such as ours. And until things start to return to normal, please stay safe and let us help if we can.
